We got another layer of powdery snow today, which seems a fitting end to this much-too-snowy month. I’m really looking forward to seeing some green outside soon. Tonight I started on a green pysanky egg with a leaf design to help me think of spring and warm weather. Maybe it’s a good sign that I’m posting an unfinished thing with my last post. I plan to keep working on the egg tomorrow, and perhaps that will help me continue this pattern of doing stuff. I’ve really enjoyed this past month, especially seeing all the cool things that other people did. Thanks everyone!

A last touch of Spring to end the month.
This challenge has been such fun. I’m going to challenge myself to keep this up - though probably not at an item a day pace!

Today I made a spring skirt. I found this really neat, possibly vintage bedsheet and figured it would make a lovely skirt. It has ruching in the waistband, and an invisible zipper. I can’t wait for it to warm up so I can wear it.

Another gray, rainy day here in eastern Pennsylvania. I think the sun has forsaken us. It was a great day to stay inside and curl up with a quilt, a cat, a cup of tea, something new-agey on the stereo, and an excellent book. Unfortunately, that was not to be…had to go to work. On a brighter note, though, as I was leaving the house this morning at 7:15, I actually heard birds singing for the first time since winter set in. A truly hopeful, spirit-lifting sound! Can it be that spring really is on the way? How long till we spy the first robin hopping across the lawn? See the first crocus poking up shyly through the ivy? Notice tender buds on the red maple trees?
Spring–it’s on its way,
Returning warmth to the land
And hope to the heart.

I love this color. And the blue is a nice distraction from all the green

I made these cute little Easter cards today, and if no one buys them, I’m just going to use them myself:)
I used a 3-d sticker for the focal point, and added brads and fun colored paper to make them pop.
Thanks for lookin’!

Today was a beautiful day - clear skies, and sun.

It was gorgeous outside today. I went up to Berkeley and took pictures of cherry blossoms in bloom:

And I read some Rumi poems.
“This is love: to fly toward a secret sky…”

It’s everywhere now.
Day by day, the number of buds are increasing.
Quite soon, change and growth, I feel them closer.
