This is dated the 29th, but it is actually my thing for the 28th (it was just after midnight when I put the date in I guess). We get one more last one tomorrow.

I created a short visit to Outpost for the express purpose of making this drawing, but the soy latte was a pretty sweet bonus. And I’ll take pretty much any excuse to visit Outpost.

Microns, copics, schmincke watercolors

For February 7th, I created a trip to go get a haircut. Here’s some sketches I did along the way:

Just a sketch (from my head, no photo reference, which you can probably tell) of my son at the beach. Ugh, the hand on the pail is embarrassingly bad…

I went to the park today (February 3) and spent several hours getting cold and making watercolors. They came out terribly, and I won’t show them to you. Later on I made this picture of my friends’ cats Lucy (on the left) and Linus (on the right), which I am quite happy to show to you!

For February 2nd, I created a trip to Newark, New Jersey to see Keith Jarrett, Jack DeJohnette, and Gary Peacock. I made some sketches along the way:

Today was Hourly Comic day and I thought it would be a good way to kick off my thing a day month. I decided to do quick, straight to pen comics in my sketchbook.
