Nothing spectacular for the last day of Thing-a-day. I made a vintage rose Morsbag for a forum tag and will have quite a few more Morsbags to sew within the next month.
Congrats to those of you who made a thing a day everyday this month! I am certainly envious! Thing-a-day was certainly flowing with creativity and inspiration
Hope to keep up with everyone next time!

The main thing I like about this whole thing-a-day project is that I get to take a photo of everything I make. Photography is my real passion. So today - I took this photo of a rose and I just love it.

Mom showed me how to make clay roses when I was a kid, so this took me back to my roots.

I had a very busy day, so the best I can do for having made something was that I made someone happy.

OK, so not beads yet. More canes. The leaf was a try at a sawtooth edge like a real rose leaf has, the pink rose matches the crimson one from my start of the month item. Tomorrow they all go on beads!

For day two I took a few slices of my cane from Day 1 and placed them on a pearl coloured heart. The heart will get baked and drilled a pendant bead for me to wear for a Valentines choker.

February 1, 2008 Day 1
This was made with a crafting kid I bought for my children many years ago but we never used. It was actually a lot of fun to pull this out of the stash and finally create one.

I started off with the easy clay stuff - I made a rose cane from alizarin crimson, my favourite rose shade. Here it is, before reducing, about 4 1/2 ounces. I’ll reduce and stick on a bead for tomorrow.
