The final day! My last thing is a page from my page a day book. I’m so proud of myself for having posted and done a THING EVERY SINGLE DAY! Okay, so a couple of the days I had to post date them, but only because I didn’t have time to post that night. Each day posted is something that was truly done on that day.
And while making things every single day is part of my every day life, I would say this was quite a challenge to actually make something that is presentable. I am glad that I participated, and proud of myself for sticking to it.
Today, if I wasn’t at work I was at the hospital. My dad was in surgery for 4 hours. (L-R) My sister laying on the hospital bed, my sister in law Dacia in the chair, my brother under the tv, my mom asleep (it was a loooong day) under the blanket, my boyfriend looking my way.
I’ve just finished this banner for my blog. What do you think? Is it horrible? Honest, but constructive criticism please.
Do the colors turn you off? Is it too busy? Unbalanced? Whatever, I’d love to hear.
I’m thinking about changing it up quarterly, so it wouldn’t be permanent. But I don’t want to turn away viewers because my banner turns their stomach, lol.
I finally caught a short video of my house rabbit, Theo, doing a soft bunny flop. You’ll never know how difficult it was to capture. Equally difficult…figuring out how to embed this video.
Today I made two more pairs of book earrings. These are handbound with sewn signatures and cover papers. I am going to add them to my etsy, probably tomorrow.
This is one of several paintings I did today for my artomat series. Paintings I contribute to artomat are always on miniature canvases that I build myself. This series is based on collages I first did in my sketchbook. I spend an embarrasing amount of time on each painting, especially considering that they are each sold for $5. I’ve been working on this particular series over a year. Here is a sketchbook page of some of the other collages from which I did paintings already. You can see more about me and my artwork on my website. Please parden my blog, it is currently under construction, so looks really jacked up.
It’s not yet even 9 p.m. and I’m already spent for the day. All I have to show is this little 30 second sketch I did while at work on scratch paper. I have no energy for a project tonight. It’s taking all my energy to scan this sketch and post here, but I MUST post daily, and now I will be able to rest easy knowing I didn’t miss a day.
