Thing 29: My tome (or, part of it) - complete at last!

Over the past month, as well as doing a ‘thing-a-day’, I’ve also been writing up a chapter of my thesis (in fact, I started it in October last year!). Well, tonight, I finally finished it. It has sapped all my creativity for today, so I’m going to have to leave things there.

On reflection, I’m really pleased I was involved in this project; I’ve tried out lots of new things, taken on a few challenges and surprised myself. I’ve finished this month a little more confident in my sketching abilities and addicted to knitting!

Can’t wait for next year!

Djinn signing off. :)

thoughts and musings

The past few days have been very challenging and I have been working so hard–perhaps it is the last mile that is the hardest mile. I did however come up with a new illustration style and technique, and have been writing my thoughts out, while finding new ways to present some of my ideas…

Day 2

Well this isn’t what I had planned for today. But I’m not feeling particularly beady, and instead I took my baby outside to sit in the grass, since he’s now able to sit up. Happy Six Months, baby! I was taking lots of pics trying to get his eyes, which are just gorgeous. I love seeing light reflections in photos. Anyway, back inside with photoshop I started messing around and voila. This one pic of his eyes with a filter added was just crazy clear with the way it reflected everything. Well, clear if you know what he’s looking at. You can see the black object (Me! Does that mean I have a black soul? My shoulder is shiny! Surely that counts for something.) and the white of our porch roof, the blue sky, etc.

There’s also another pic of him being a good boy and eating his greens.
