I bookmarked her work a few months ago because the cutouts reminded me of the doodles that I used to do in my college notebooks, and today I was browsing through my Podcasts and came across one on the Craft Magazine podcast with a tutorial. Collage number one… The ALL Seeing EYE…This one started with the bottle cap & the glass bead… seemed like an eye to me. And then I started playing. It’s made of colored pencils, candy wrappers, paint, string, sparkly stuff. I thought it was fun to do… Hard part is stopping I’m trying to think inside the box for a change. I have a habit of turning all kinds of things in to art projects, I thought it might be fun to challenge myself & try and stick to a square format. I hope they don’t get boring.
