Tonight I put together a desktop aquarium:
for my new African dwarf frogs! Meet Elizabeth, Snoop Froggy Frog II and Vasco de Gama.
These are full aquatic pets and are pretty fun and easy to take care of. You need to make sure you’re good about cleaning their tanks, but I think they are so cute and charming. They’ve each got their own personalities and make wonderful desk companions.
Yes, ladies and gents, behold the first decent shot I took of my cat. Because she’s so black, her fur reflects the flash in a horrific manner. And if I don’t use the flash, then she just looks like a big black blob. But last night I finally got that elusive picture. I’m really proud of it, and I invite you to enjoy it!

welp!! here i am again…checking in….dropping a line or so…..and now i’m caught up……i found another picture that i think is sooooooo cute….what do you think?

I decided to start early today. Busy day planned ahead with cleaning, seed, planting, crafting, and watching super bowl commercials. Taking pictures of my dog is my favorite thing to do. She interesting to me and getting a good shot is hard because she is always moving and always really close to me.

The photo session started out okay. It was rather difficult to get her a nice distance from me so I could take a photo. I tried to get her to sit and stay far away but this made her get upset. Instead of sitting she was jumping up at my hand. She started to show her little teeth ha. She gets like this when she is annoyed.

In the end she gave up and let me have a nice picture.

My intention with joining thing a day was to improve my writing and my cooking, and to give me an excuse to bake more. Of the three, writing has the highest priority, so what better way to inaugurate my month of thing a day than with a writing exercise?
With that in mind, I decided to take the word list posted by a previous thing a day-er, twickster, and see if I could work those ten words into something. I wasn’t sure what. My mind jumped immediately to poetry, but when I sat down to type, stream of consciousness prose came tumbling out. I was still able, however, to work in those words. I think even with only occasional awkwardness.
However, it’s long. So I decided rather than clutter up the thing a day front page with the writing itself, I will direct people to my writing blog.
Thus my thing a day entry is posted here, and I hope everyone enjoys it. It’s about a puppy and snow, and the start of my adaptation to winter.
