My daughter has a valentine’s party at her preschool on Tuesday, so I helped her make these for the other kids.
My biggest creation today is a spa slumber party for my 11-year-old daughter’s birthday. The house is clean (unusual for me), the table is set, and the “spa” is ready to go.
Let the fun begin!!
I recently took some of my handmade cards into a local flower shop to sell.
The owner loved them, and asked me if I could also do invitations for her daughters beach-themed birthday party.
Here is the prototype I came up with that I’ll be taking to her tomorrow.

Nothing too exciting, but I went to a party at a friend’s house and took this to share.
It’s really easy too!
6 cups popped corn (duds removed..this is about half a batch from my air popper)
In microwave (I used 4 qt pyrex measuring bowl) for 2 minutes:
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbs corn syrup (I substitute 2 tsp w/ molasass…gives it a darker flavor)
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
Stir and microwave another 1-2 minutes until boiling.
Add 1/2 tsp baking soda. Stir, and pour over popcorn. Stir til coated. Return to microwave (now covered popcorn) and microwave for 2 more minutes. Stir again, and spread on foil until cool.
Crunchy and yummy!
My daughter wanted a caterpillar for her birthday today, so this is what I came up with.
