I like paper crafts so much, I keep going back to the same projects. A few months ago I saw this and decided to glue nice strips of paper [with cool patterns I found in an IKEA catalogue… ] to sized toilet rolls. Made a few bracelets. Huge sucess!
This time I thought that I could cut skinnier and shorter rings and make a necklace:
I absolutely love pearls -all shapes, colors and sizes.
These were beautiful enough to string on their own.

Day 20 already - only nine more ‘things’ to do!
Today I was itching to make something with all the old and new beads I’ve acquired from eBay recently. I’ve long fancied a chunky, asymmetric, totally random necklace featuring uniquely different beads. So, I had a go, and this is the result.
It’s threaded on elasticated cord - haven’t quite yet worked out how best to secure/fasten it. But, apart from that, I’m really happy with it. ![]()
That’s right! You get two days for the price of one today! I had too much fun last night (yakitori dinner, Press Your Luck & the American Gladiators season finale) to post so here now is the very simple ring I made out of some leftover buttons:
And also the pendants I worked on tonight:
I used pink sakura printed origami paper for one and a drawing from an Adrian Tomine notebook for the other. Tomine is one of my favorite comic artists so I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out. In the next few days I’ll probably put more layers of acrylic sealer on them to make sure they can last me a long time.
So, yesterday was pretty much a bust. I was exhausted. But today I restrung a necklace that belongs to my mother-in-law. Last time she was babysitting my little monster, she broke it and sent beads flying everywhere.
Now it’s back together, and wearable once again. Fun, fast, easy. Thanks, I needed that!
Today was a beautiful day - clear skies, and sun.
This is what it inspired

Wow, I skipped alot of days!
On Day 12, I baked some cupcakes. They looked so pretty, with pink frosting and sparkles, but they didn’t taste so good, oh well. I’ll try a different recipe next time. I did take pictures of them, but my old memory card decided to die on me, so they’re gone.
Ok, so in no particular order, because I can’t remember when I did what, here’s the rest of my Things, with photographic evidence.

I finished crocheting the bag on the right. The one on the left is almost finished, too.
That is a piece of a fabric I’ll be using to line my colorful crochet bag. As you may have guessed, many Sharpies were harmed in the process.

I did some minor changes to some jewelry I’d made recently. The necklace on the left can now be worn as a bracelet, too. And this purple one had the straps changed.

I also made this cute pink bangle.
And lastly, I fused plastic bags! It was my first attempt, and it’s not too shabby! Now, what willI make with them?? Hmmmmm…
These button pearls seem to dance along this necklace.
I love the movement - and the color on these is wonderful.

Title: Hearts of glass
Description: Green glass hearts necklace & earrings with copper accents
Inspiration: Today is Valentine’s Day; the music of Blondie (Deborah Harry)
It’s finished - but it needs some adjustments made with the chain
Can that count for tomorrow ?
