thing 21: Syntho ‘77

In my junkbox I found this vintage 1977 (or so) 76477 synthesizer chip- this model used to be used in arcade machines. It was gonna be another Matchbox Synth - you can see I have the case all prepped - but, whether because it’s old and broken, or because I wasn’t using it right, I couldn’t get any sounds out of it except for these.

Still, you may not have seen and heard the last of Syntho ‘77!

Thing 13, the thank you

Thing 13 the thank you

a magnet thank you, made out of those same old road trip contact sheets. Because of the weather, I couldn’t get my car from the shop, and had no way over the mountain home. So thanks Stacey! I got to camp in Allentown and have good food, good drinks and many laughs. (And, as special thanks, I did not photograph the inside of your medicine cabinet just to fulfill the ’spying’ theme on thing-a-day)

Thing 5, matchbox magnets

A use for my old contact sheets! The ones from the road tripping days. Matchbox magnets, little picture frames that tell stories of Salinas at night, Kansas (midway) midday, Montana at sunrise and Utah by the side of the road.

Sticking with the musical instrument theme: the teeniest little synthesizer. Video and sound here.

Kraphti’s Day 2 Kreations

Hmmmm….I just realized I can’t post pics everyday.   I participate in swaps over at Swap-bot.com and I don’t want my partner to see what I’m making before they get it in the mail.

Well anyway, I did several filled matchboxes today.  Just need to finish decorating them.    Still waiting for partners to be assigned on a couple of them.

I also moved out of my dining room and back into the krapht room.  Sheesh I have go so many things going on, that I need like 3 separate rooms. One for painting, one for paper crafts and one for polymer clay.

Oops!

I made a matchbox early this morning for a swap. After I finished, I put it in an envelope, sealed it, and got it ready to mail. I completely forgot about taking a picture of it to post here! So… I made my “thing a day” for today, I just don’t have any proof of it. I’ll probably do another one for another swap tomorrow, and I hope I’ll remember to photograph it!
