Tonight I created this painting, with which I am very pleased…

And now (this is work, so I’m not sure it counts, but it does require creativity) I’m trying to improve my web design company’s logo.
And now that I’ve photographed my sketch, I can actually trace it in Illustrator and get that damn fox tail shape right. (Yeah, I don’t have a scanner. I’ve been begging my boss to get me one for a while now!)
Oh, and for the record, I didn’t slack off yesterday. I did some sketches (they just didn’t turn out post-worthy), one of my cat, one of a high heel - my absolute favorite shape in the world is the silhouette of a stiletto heel, I’m fascinated by the shape, it’s beautiful! Wearing those kinds of shoes make me fabulous, also.

Today was round two of cutting a stamp for my sales tags. (Because I am impatient and my camera battery is dead you get to see why today had to be round two. Round one , below, consisted of me merrily chopping off the last “e” on the first try. Geez.)

Looks a lot rougher than it actually turns out. And this is much easier than one might expect.
1. Print your text or image in reverse. [Black and white with no gradation works best.]
2. Use rubber cement to attach print-out to stamp material, image facing up so you can easily see it. [Could use eraser or buy new from craft/art store.]
3. Slowly score around the part you want to stamp with a sharp Exacto blade.
4. Remove outline of paper template and start carefully removing excess rubber from around image.
Pie. Easy as.
I am helping Bobby with his blog, Cross Town Rival, and he needs a logo. I don’t have graphic design programs on my PC but I do have cool fonts so I created the following typefaces for his blog.
I don’t know if he’ll like any of them, but I think it’s a good start. Which are your favorites? If you need reference go to http://crosstownrival.blogspot.com

Working on this for a while, so hopefully between earlier and this it covers today and yesterday. Still, I can’t let it defeat the purpose of setting aside time every day.
