job search
Today I revised my resume and wrote a cover letter. I applied for a new job. Yea!
painted these drawers and 3 more of their friends, and the chest they reside in at work. (i love my job!) red is a tough color to work with. not only is it blaringly obvious when you get it on the carpet or your clothes, it takes MANY coats to make it not look streaky. i’m not sure if it helped or hurt that the paint itself is probably at *least* 6 years old.
i left the mess for christy to tend to when she gets in this a.m….. well, the paint wasn’t dry yet!! (hi christy!!)
That is what it means this Italian dessert Tiramisu.
When in Rome, I didn’t see it at bars (cafes in our culture) and restaurants like in the US.
Asked my Italian friend, he said, that was what they made and ate at home, as this used be dessert for hookers.
Ah, that is why.
I haven’t done anything about my job-hunting today.
Thinking about contacting this man whom I worked with for an informative interview, as he has a great network source.
One more day to survive, then I have Monday off from work. I have many plans to reduce stress and reward myself for surviving during this hard time.
Poco a poco.
Had an session with my counselor last night.
I had made a list of keywords on what I want for my next career.
She gave me specific suggestions on what I could do right now. Lent me a useful book too.
At the end of the session, she said that my expression on the face changed obviously for the better from the one when I walked into her office.
Might be small, but I saw a light. Whatever I do would get me to the next indicated thing.
Somehow, it’s not so far to reach there, I think.
Heard from the friend who works for Japanese community paper.
The option to write on online-dating is out. OK.
He said though they always wanted someone who could write a funny essay, which I might try.
The next immediate step is to talk to my counselor on what I REALLY want to do about my career. I have made an appointment with her on Mon.
I was bummed out, so went to my favourite bakery in West Seattle and had these goodies with a good friend of mine who lent an ear to me.
Tea, sweets and girls’ talk always help.
One thing at a time.
