Hooray! What a fun, inspiring and altogether awesome experience. I cannot wait to do this again!

 I wanted to make dinosaur buttons today.  I thought it would be a good exercise to learn illustrator.  You know something small.  I HATE ILLUSTRATOR.  I got the lines done, wanted to blow up my computer, then gave up and switched to photoshop.  2.5 hours later the lamest unfinished button ever!  Anyone know any good tutorials for illustrator?

I hate drawing on the laptop’s touchpad. But I need to do it on occasion, so I forced myself today. Here are the results:

Kind of a manga-deco hybrid, I guess. If I had more than 20 mins, I’d do something more with the colorblocked shadows.

Not feeling super inspired or energetic today (See my previous post for reason why!) so I just did this quick doodle in Adobe Illustrator… Oh well, I think it’s semi-cute. The colors were semi-inspired by a scheme on Adobe Labs’ “Kuler” application… (Look it up, it’s fun!)

Working on this for a while, so hopefully between earlier and this it covers today and yesterday. Still, I can’t let it defeat the purpose of setting aside time every day.

For the first day of Thing-a-Day I decided to work with two mediums that I have been trying to master. First off I have been doing yoga for about three months and I am so ready to do this pose– Bakasana Pose (Crane). It is a balancing pose where you are using your arm strength and balance to come into this pose. Goodness, it is so fun to just try. I used illustrator to make this drawing, also something I have been trying to master. If you have any tips on either of these please feel free to share!xoxoBeccaa
