Gouache round 2 on paper made for dry media, one day we’ll get it right gouache..

i have always wondered if i could make these, and it turns out i can!  they’re not something i’d sell on etsy or anywhere else, i think my girls will love to wear these with new spring clothes!

I didn’t even get started on this until around 10:30 pm. Completely the wrong type of paper for marker. I wish I had been alert enough to do justice to the hair.

Another busy day, and tomorrow will be worse. Expect tomorrow’s thing very late.

So. I’m considering the length of a day equal to the amount of time between sleep. Technically, it is the 17th. Ha! So what.

I used copic markers for the “wash.” I think I’ll be experimenting with ink washes a bit.

And today…

It’s not yet even 9 p.m. and I’m already spent for the day. All I have to show is this little 30 second sketch I did while at work on scratch paper. I have no energy for a project tonight. It’s taking all my energy to scan this sketch and post here, but I MUST post daily, and now I will be able to rest easy knowing I didn’t miss a day.

So tie-tie, big yawn.

tried again at the neopastels.. still not sure we have a future together.

Not feeling super inspired or energetic today (See my previous post for reason why!) so I just did this quick doodle in Adobe Illustrator… Oh well, I think it’s semi-cute. The colors were semi-inspired by a scheme on Adobe Labs’ “Kuler” application… (Look it up, it’s fun!)

Hi all!

I drew for the first time in quite a few months and I decided to try and shade with my pen. Never did that before, so here’s the result. Her head is much to big, but other then that I think it turned out all right. Oh, and I didn’t bother to get rid of the sketch marks. I already spent enough time on this tonight. I have a midterm tomorrow.

My first Thing-a-Day thing.  I took some time to make a watercolor.  All i knew is that I wanted a sidewalk, rainy weather and a bright umbrella.  And this is what I got!

This is my first official drawing of the year. I should really draw more, especially since drawing was at one time the most important thing in my life.
