Day 29 - Ending with the Spring Blues
A last touch of Spring to end the month.
This challenge has been such fun. I’m going to challenge myself to keep this up - though probably not at an item a day pace!

The cutest little spring blossoms to dangle from your ear.

This TAD should go through the next month because I swear, I would have gone straight to bed this evening. But instead, I HAD to get a ‘thing’ done so here it is. Simple, yet still a thing. Hooray. I think I’m going to open an etsy shop. I have a website but I don’t like updating it and I don’t like making things when I ‘have’ to per someone’s order. I’d rather make what I feel like, and then someone can buy it, instead of vice versa. And it makes more sense to have a site that I only pay when I actually sell something versus one that I pay monthly and do nothing, right? Ok, I’m too tired to be at the comp. I’ll ramble on all night. The Baby is actually asleep right now, which is already better than last night, I should go to sleep myself. Or enjoy the silence. Ahhh, the dilemma. At least I got my thing done.
Yep, more Spring colors.
I was pretty impressed I finished anything today
Friday’s are tough.

February is traditionally a time for fertility celebrations. In the spirit of this, I made earrings (via a lasercutter) that act as a physical hyperlink to the wikipedia article for the Fertility Goddess. Taking a photo of these earrings using a qr code reader on your phone will take you to the mobile version of the page. I generated the code using Semapedia.
Unfortunately, the ones I made without writing “Fertility Goddess” (so just the code) didn’t turn out dark enough…but this works to show the concept.
You might think I could tire of Spring…but not gonna happen!
I love the bright, vibrant colors.

I finished the other earring, and Photobucket is cooperating, so here’s the complete set. I made the pendant earlier (see previous posts.)
The first earring broke the 1-hour-max rule, but the second earring went so quickly that I think the average fits in the time frame. The first earring always takes me forever, because I’m designing as I go, and I do a fair amount of experimentation. The second earring, even though I have to produce the mirror image of the first, takes far less time. I’ve gotten so much better at reversing the design since when I started!
