took a large part of my morning off, but managed to make a giant clothespin bunny photo holder. i’ll get it over to the etsy shop by noon today, promise!! there’s also a sheepie who will make his/her appearance later, too! these clothespins are great for holding pictures/ photos, recipe cards, paperwork, greeting cards… a sweet addition to any easter basket!
I finally caught a short video of my house rabbit, Theo, doing a soft bunny flop. You’ll never know how difficult it was to capture. Equally difficult…figuring out how to embed this video.
once again, it’s a project that does double duty. not only are these for thingaday but they’re part of my “campaign strategy”. more about that here if you’re interested.
Michelle told me today about how on her cruise the steward made towel animals and placed them on the bed. So here’s my try at a towel bunny. Took one hand towel and one bath towel and 2 pieces of ribbon.
Last week, I bought two pairs of plain white mittens at Target on clearance for a dollar. I was trying to make them less boring and came up with these bunny mittens, haha. They have felt eyes and noses, felt ears that stick up, pompom tails, and a string that connects the two so you don’t lose one. I’m not quite sure what I’m doing with these yet.
A portrait of my fake pet rabbit Freddie sitting in a table. I like the way his paw is supposed to be posed like he’s grooming himself but instead it looks like he’s waving it towards himself in a “come on, yeah come on, I could take you” motion. Freddie has swagger and style.
Today was supposed to be bunny pancakes but someone informed me that he didn’t really feel like them or like them or like them without sausage and bacon or some such nonsense. On Pancake Tuesday! The nerve! So instead we had meatless meatball sandwiches with bunny shaped mozzarella on crusty baguette.
I loved this photo on The Sartorialist - the jacket, the voluminous pants, the air of worldliness. But I saw it on a world-weary bunny. And so here he is.
(I added a neckkerchief because I thought the wool jacket over a skimpy t-shirt was a bit naf.)
So…it’s the first day and not only did I wait til the last minute to post something….but I already stole someone else’s idea!!!
I’m sooooo bad.
Anyway, someone had already made the cat bus from Totoro, but I loved it so much I had to make one of my own to sit on my desk. (Thank you to that person!)
So not only did I make it, but I played around taking pictures of it and then poking around in photoshop. Enjoy!
