Artomat Painting

This is one of several paintings I did today for my artomat series. Paintings I contribute to artomat are always on miniature canvases that I build myself. This series is based on collages I first did in my sketchbook. I spend an embarrasing amount of time on each painting, especially considering that they are each sold for $5. I’ve been working on this particular series over a year. Here is a sketchbook page of some of the other collages from which I did paintings already. You can see more about me and my artwork on my website. Please pardenĀ my blog, itĀ is currently under construction, so looks really jacked up.

My busy Valentine

This is what I worked on for Day 13 and Day 14–a Valentine collage for my sweetie. He likes orange, so the colors are not…traditional. I didn’t mean for it to get so cluttered but all the pictures seemed like good ideas at the time. It’s 4″ by 6″. He is German. “Zusammen” means “together” auf Deutsch. :-)

Day 2: Another Rushed Effort

I threw this together while getting ready to go out today. The colors look awful in the picture, but oh well. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll have more time to sit down and paint something while I’m not trying to do 10 other things at once.

Painting A Day 1

painting

Technically it’s day two, but since I haven’t gone to bed yet, it still counts as day one, I guess.

It’s been a while since I’ve painted anything, so I just did a small, simple thing for day one. I actually forgot about Thing-a-day until the last minute, but oh well. I managed to get something done, at least!

The picture is awful, but hopefully by the end of this, I’ll be able to take a picture of a painting that doesn’t wash out.
