So, it’s the last day of February and I thought I would let you know what I have learnt over the last month:

Always have  go, don’t give up before you’ve even started.

Don’t think your ideas wont work.  Give them a try!

Make things for others - time is sometimes better than money

Sewing machines can be friendly

One mans junk is another mans treasure

Work together not against each other

Bake a cake once a week and share with friends

Pictures of perfect moments can mean the world!

A little goes a long way

Mixtapes are great ways to show people how you are feeling

Build on skills you know you hve

Go to fabric sales and buy lots of materials, people have different tastes

Shop around, it can cost you a foertune otherwise

Buy one piece of big equipment a month

I like making lists

Photograph the process - someone else may want to know “how to”

Always carry a camera with you

If you don;t need it, don’t buy it!

Don;t spend money you don’t have

Learn a new craft / thing every month

Join the library - books are inspiration

listen to new music as often as you can, you may stumble upon a genious

Stumbleupon is a great way to share great things!

Make time for yourself - if you don’t who will

Don’t let the little thingss get to you

Make time to see your friends

Laugh everyday

Make time for your family

I have learnt a lot over the past month and I have even decided to start selling some of my crafts at a fair.  So from now on I’m going to be busy making things!  Thanks for the inspiration xxx

At the beginning of February I bought a mirror frame from a jumble sale with the mission to change it into a jewellery display board.  Well, it is nearly the end of feb and I know it’s not going to be finished till the 2nd cause that’s when I’m getting my drill.  So here is the project from beginning to the end of Feb.  Hope you like it x

I’ve been upto a few crafty things and have made:  some badges, a mothers day card and printed some pictures for a frame.  So here they are:

oh my goodness!  I’ve just checked and realised that I’ve not updated this since the 13th.  I am so sorry.

Well, i have been busy but not always with crafty things so let me update you where I can remember!

Thursday 14th - I made dinner for my other half for valentines dayx  here is the card that I made him:

Friday 15th -  I made a carrot cake for my friend’s birthday

Saturday 16th - i went to visit my friend for her birthday and we had a mexican night which meant making fajitas andlots of lovely drinks!

Sunday 17th - I went to see no country for old men with my boyfriend.  I think it is a boy film!

Monday 18th - I took some time for myself and went to an aqua class which was fun!

Tuesday 19th - Doing my bit for the community I went to a meeting at Walsall Youth Arts where I am a director to help them with funding.

Wednesday 20th - I managed to varnish my frame project.  It’s nearly finished, just need a drill but my dad is bringing me one and that won’t be till March 2nd.

Thursday 21st -  i went to work to be able to afford new things for crafting!

Friday 22nd - Film night!  Watched Alvin and the chipmunks and atonement.  and then watched loads of arrested development!  That stuff is sooo funny!

Saturday 23rd -  I went to make my mum her mother’s day present.  Here is how it started (I’ll put the final pic up after I’ve collected it and it’s glazed)

Sunday 24th - I made a batch of weight watcher friendly biscuits for work and tidied up my home

Monday 25th  - Going to update the photos around my home.

So there it is!  I have been busy although not doing all things crafty.  I am going to get loads done this week though!xx

I’ve not done much today.  I went swimming yesterday which was time to think about more things to make.  I’ve taken another step to completing my project but it’s still not finished.  I’ve just realised it’s mother’s day in couple of weeks so I need to start thinking of what to make.

I made some cookies today for the guys at work tomorrow.  They seem to look okay.  let’s hope they taste good!

i also just made this for my friend who isn’t very well at the moment and loves Kate Moss!

also made this although it didn’t really work how I meant it to, but we live and learn!

It’s a brown cover for my bedside cabinet with a pink heart on which has been stuffed so that it is raised.

Well, I started my second job yesterday so didn’t really have time to make anything apart from a bit of money. although, I came home to my boyfriend and friend dom making fresh pizzas which were delicious!

So, today I made up for my lack of creativity yesterday and made this bag! It’s my first ever attempt at making one and I have made it for a friend for their birthday. Hope they like it! I also made a box for it to go into.

I also went to a jumble sale this morning and bought a beautiful mirror but I didn’t want the mirror I just wanted the frame. This is a work in progress, hopefully I can do some more on that tomorrow!

i got busy today and a bit carried away once i started and I decided to make a few cards.  i made 2 birthday cards and 1 wedding invite acceptance.  i also made a valentine card but forgot to take a picture of it but that’s probably a good thing cause I’m sure my boyfriend will look at this!

Going to get myself a second job!  Then I can cut my credit cards up and go on holiday so I think it’s needed!  Wish me luck x

Here’s a taster of some of the things

Well yesterday we were meant to have pancakes but we had a couple and they were really filling.  Today I made some more and they were delicious!  Garlic mushroom in them made them delicious!  I would have taken a picture but unfortunately my battery ran out.  Rubbish!  so, you’ll have to take my word for it but I assure you they were delicious x

I’ve been at work all day and had no real time to make anything.  But I did go to the cinema to see Juno which has an ace soundtrack and is an awesome film!  So I’ve written a review of it on my blog at http://vickysmiler.blogspot.com

Hoe everyone has had a successful day.  It’s shrove Tuesday tomorrow so i’ll be making non stop pancakes!

hello!

 I am really looking forward to this!  I have not really gotten into crafting before but I’ve got lots of supplies and lots of ideas so hopefully lots of great things will be made!

One thing I am unsure of though is, how my boyfriend will like all his home made valentines day presents!
