More working on my website tonight - the shop works now, and I congratulate myself on the use of the phrase “Ponzi Schemes?” on my contact page. Yippee!
Forgive me thing-a-day, for I have sinned. It has been three days since my last confession. I come before thee humbly, and without photos, for I am at work.
Thing 2: I unraveled a thrift-store sweater into 10 balls of chenille yarn. Someday it will become a dinosaur or a crocodile.
Thing 3: I knitted a pink acrylic vajra (that buddhist double-ended pointy symbol thing). It started out as a rattle for my niece, but it wound up looking so vajra-esque it just had to be that. I gave it to my buddhist friend Caro, and she’s putting it on her altar!
Thing 4: Designed and knitted the underbelly of a starfish. I’m obsessed with getting improbable shapes out of my knitting needles lately - I figured out how to make a starfish without breaking the yarn, but you have to use 11 needles! I’ll have to simplify this one on the second go ’cause I’m hoping to publish the design.
More things, less sleep. Maybe more things, more sleep - are dreams things? They certainly are nouns.
My thing for today is the website I finished at 2am this morning. It’s a tiny slip of a thing, and just a shadow of its future self, but I’m really proud of it nonetheless. I give you Tatting my Doilies.
