I almost wimped out. I thought about letting my final work of the month be this crocheted zipper thing.

Instead, vanity prevailed.

Yesterday’s sketch colorized by my unsure hand.

Barring any unforseen problems, this sketch will become a watercolor by tomorrow.

A return to sweet graphite.

It’s still not done. Oh well. I guess it counts as a remake, because I’ve started this project over and over again.

To make up for not making anything on February 22, I cranked out this crochet circle over the weekend. I plan to stick on my hat.

As mentioned in an earlier post, here’s the photo taken on February 21.

I succumbed to some bug this week, so I’m behind on my things. Here’s a quick recap:

Day 20: Used herringbone knit stitch to make not so thrilling headband. Picture to come, maybe.

Day 21: Sickness hits. As I staggered home, I found the strength to take an intriguing sidewalk photo which I will post later (forgot to bring camera to the office, sorry).

I had to skip painting class, so no skill-free Thursday evening watercolor this week.

Day 22: Back to work. Not much time or energy to make things this Friday. I guess I’ll have to make it during the rest of the weekend.

For some reason, I believe that if I can’t draw in ink, then I can’t really draw. I invested in a fancy micron marker to legitimize my ink experiments. This was the best one I did on the night of 2/17.

Once I get this “ink is king” notion out of my system, I’ll return to graphite, my fave medium.

Another work from the domestic side. I made oatmeal cookies using the trusty Quaker Oats vanishing recipe, and threw in some chocolate chips and chopped pecans in place of the raisins.

I guess the recipe works, because the cookies are gone now.

I am behind in my posts once again.

On Friday, 2/15. I finally decoded this cryptic pattern. Here it is, manifested in my trusty red acrylic.

I painted this in class. Yep.

Office managers, beware.

To make this thing even girlier, I crocheted this while watching a tv adaptation of a Jane Austen novel. How very accomplished.

Sometimes, I gotta make something for the wee ones. It’s an i-chord with a crochet flower. The kid likes purple.
