sadly my borrowed camera stopped working last week. but here’s what i have to show for the end of thing-a-day month.
before the camera broke, lovely deserted wintertime fire island.

i’d never seen snow on the beach before!!!
the rest of the photos are from the built in camera on my laptop. for some reason it only shows mirror images.
a mail sorter for my apartment:

i used up my fancy moleskine, so i’m making myself a new sketchbook. this is just the text block.

and this is a felt dvd holder that i made to house my burned copy of the “planet earth” series!

inside planet earth

it’s been great! it was so nice to see everybody’s wonderful work!!!

This weekend i finally began working on the bag i promised my mom for christmas.

i also did some sketching on the train. i drew some more people at mars bar in this random guy’s book, but didn’t get photos of those, obviously. if you ever run into this old dude named “hamlet” you can see them in his book and then draw something of your own!

been working on more valentines. still haven’t sent them out!

no post since wed. due to dead internet. thursday’s creation was the design of a fantasy waterslide.

may be difficult to tell from the sketches, but trust me. it’s a crazy ride.
friday and saturday did not happen. but today almost made up for it. i made envelopes to send out valentines to friends.

and started on the cards as well! hopefully i can get them sent off by tuesday?

today, i made veggie lasagna with red pepper-tomato sauce from scratch.

i couldn’t resist these sassy gents - so i stab bound them into a little book.

also, since my roommate is giving up sugar for lent, one last hurrah.

until now no access to a digital camera. . . but i HAVE been dutifully crafting everyday. sorry for the large post.
first day:

a bookmark!
Saturday night, got home at 4am. so i made something simple. . .

the cool thing is that both origami can move. . .the frog obviously jumps but the heart also has a little tab on the back which makes it beat.
Sunday:

a felt booklet to store needles - saw the idea in Craft magazine a few days ago while browsing the bookstore.

And finally, today’s craft.

set of cards.
hope to post once a day from now on! i’ve so been enjoying everybody’s lovely work!

oh, i just registered in the nick of time! hooray for making things! no idea what i will do!!
also, i do not currently own a digital camera. maybe this project is incentive enough to buy one? we’ll see; until then i will have boring written descriptions only.
