Soup is in the oven finishing, voted today and the bags are done.  Overall, a good day.

I picked up an alphabet cookie pan at a thrift store months ago and finally had an opportunity to use it.  I picked out the graham cracker recipe from the King Arthur’s Cookie book… except rolling them out to look like standard crackers.  The crackers turned out great, the pan is a bit tedious to use though. 

Since I usually cook everything we eat during the week on the weekend, as my Thing-A-Day I made chicken recuerdos based on Barbara Kingsolver’s recipe in _Animal, Vegetable, Miracle_. One of my new year’s resolutions was to eat only organic.  This fits that bill.   To help me keep up this daily project, I started organizing materials for projects this week. 

Slow start. 

It’s my best friends birthday so I made reusable gift bags for the things I picked up for her.
