I’m posting my last item today since I’m going on vacation tomorrow. This is a sneak peak into some of my future work, which will involve adapting some of my illustrations into digitized form. Adios!

I love Rumiko Takahashi’s Inuyasha characters. I created the illustration on the left based on an episode where Kagura falls wounded in a stream and Sesshoumaru is nearby. Something they leave up for the imagination is how he actually gets her out of the water. I’m such a fan girl! You can see some of the progress here. Enjoy!

I don’t own Inuyasha, but Rumiko Takahashi does.

What a great way to end Thing-a-day (see my last post above)! It was fun while it lasted, but now I have to update my own blog

Furry jackets make me feel…prehistoric.

I’ve never lived with cats or mice for that matter, but apparently this is what they look like in my head. The wheel is for speed of course.

I’ve been so busy lately. On Sunday I set up my shop at HungaMunga’s Art Bazaar in East London. It was nice to see some familiar faces and get caught up. I also took a few items I had not showcased and it was fun seeing the reaction to these (Jebby the Whale and a painting I have yet to post online). I think the whole HungaMunga thing is ace!

Everyone must have felt this. You know that feeling when someone is walking away or something dissipates. I guess it’s called letting go.

Student indifference and teacher concern. What could the problem possibly be I wonder? I dunno.

Whipped out the color pencils to prove something to myself. Seems to add up.

I tend to give my models very long necks and bodies, almost to the point where they remind me of an alien life form.

Most times I draw from experience, not always my own, but since I love looking at people, they tend to be a form of inspiration.

At a local bar with waiter on hand and nearby conversations. I was actually sitting on a stool but I think I look better crouched in the corner.

To a very loud night at Astoria 2 with the Crystal Castles and The Horrors. It was somewhat amazing to see more than a few dozen camera/phone screens lit up in the crowd during sets. It’s as if they have replaced the flicker of what once used to be lighters.

And today…

It would have been even better to have drawn this from life.

She looks a bit resistant…but still beautiful!

I spent a couple hours at the cafe. I’m very fond of chai and mechanical pencils.

This is what I worked on yesterday. It’s hard to believe that the pile of deconstructed socks will become adorable sock monkeys!

I crocheted a hat for myself. Too bad the weather is getting nicer. Not!
