Second-last Thing-a-Day
Although I’m going to continue to finish up some project and try cooking more…
Dinner! The 3 Step Greek Skillet we made was delicious.

Dinner! The 3 Step Greek Skillet we made was delicious.

Today, I made a pattern for the gift to our extended family’s newest addition. It’s an underwater theme that will read the new baby’s name, date of birth, weight, and length. I drew it out on graph paper.

This is what I did:
1. Get 2 slices of whole wheat bread and put a very thin layer of margarine on one side of both pieces
2. With buttered sides facing out (yes, hands get icky, wash before + after), place 1 cheese slice and if available, 1 slice of blackforest ham in the middle
3. Heat up frying pan (works better if warmed up), I have stovetop on high, usually, then cook sandwich until both sides are nicely browned.
4. Serve with ketchup & nom nom nom
I helped make dinner by cutting up an obscene amount of red, green, yellow, and orange peppers. Cross-stitch still requires outlining, background, and text.

Today, I sat on the couch and drew our neighbour’s house with lines. I don’t think it turned out too bad considering my previous skill
I also continued more on my cross-stitch. I’m hoping it’ll be done one day next week.

So today, I painted another pair of my circulation socks with a heart-theme and organized a cupboard (may not look like it, but should’ve seen the before). I also included an update of my cross-stitch, which is looking more and more like it’s supposed to everyday. Happy Valentine’s Day, all!

I tried to update on the 10th, but the post didn’t seem to go through. Nothing interesting missed though, don’t worry
Feb 10 - went outside, very windy, forgot to bring camera + continued cross-stitch
Feb 11 - chopped up some fresh veggies + continued cross-stitch
Feb 12 - continued cross-stitch + planning to organize next one
Work in progress, one day it’ll mean something:

Okay, so, it’s difficult to tell what this is, but it’s the forming of a paw of a cat. Seems like it’ll take forever to complete, so the updates will indeed be in the future.

I don’t know what I planned to do today, but I started my second cross-stitch. Didn’t get too much done, but managed to untangle and sort the thread. The kit actually came with this piece of card stock with holes to thread the various colours through. Coming in handy already
Will post more when I do more.

Today, I managed to finish up the cross-stitch I started earlier this month. In true ICHCB fashion, I added the phrase myself, and will be giving it to my husband

For the past month, I’ve been limited to a hospital bed and these for walls. So, when I made it to sitting on the couch for a brief period of time, I decided to take a picture to capture it. This is the view those who come and visit me get.

So I’ve completed one of the two for my sister pre-February, and I disparately need to finish them before the warm weather comes. So here’s my progress on the second wrist-warmer. I’m using the magic-loop method ? knitting with just one circular and this pattern (click here). Also below, is yesterday’s Thing a Day with more work done on it (still not finished)

I got a “kid’s” cross stitch, as I’ve never cross stitched before. Wasn’t too difficult, but took a while… Should be pretty cute when it gets completed
Not going to happen in the 20mins to 1hr suggested time for Thing-a-Day, lol

Original idea may be in the works tomorrow, but today, I took advantage of the cat sleeping on me to take pictures.

A little back story, I’m an adult who mainly has decorative/theme socks. In light of recent events, I wear circulation socks, which are plain black. This is my attempt to jazz them up with fabric paint:
This is my first year participating, as I’m sure it is for most. I hope it’ll help to kill time and boredom, which is frequent due to my current circumstances. Here are some ideas (incase you’re looking for some to take) I thought of for the 20min - 1hr timeline, creating:
Now to just get started and stick to it
Take care!
