In few words: i paint

portraits of my daughter:
yesterday i was trying to repeat Mendeleev’s trick with his periodic table, thought that character map will come to me in all it’s beauty in my dream. no luck — i was too tired and only saw blinking alarm clock (telling me that i’m really late already, and all my neighbors hear that sound for a while already, and 8 missed calls on my phone from people trying to wake me up) right after getting asleep. no luck in other words.
so, today i just remixed a baroque dance for your viewing pleasure. here they are:
still researching, learning (only about yet) existing systems. thinking, freaking out, thinking again, doodling. tried to notate my own walking — incredibly hard and unrewarding task!

i hate to create extra pollution with meaningless post, but i guess, it’s part of the game rules: to post every day. very questionable though, but with happy end/continuum: twisting a look at everyday activities in order to masquerade them for “art” for a month forms an invaluable habit of doing so for months to come.
viva bad habits!
just came home — did not have time to create any representational evidence of my activities toward dance notation, maybe only a link to a wonderful book on a subject that i’m reading now: Traces Of Dance: Choreographers’ Drawings And Notation and another one that is on its way to me: Choreographics by Ann Hutch Guest.
also LED and Limelight.
reading, thinking.
since draw-a-thon is 9 hours long (from 4pm to 1am next morning), i’m counting it as double-post.
for movement notation i did two little accordion books so far:
