For the last day, I’d like to Thank the creators of this project, the artist who originally came up with the idea, and all of the participants on this board. I can’t believe this month has come to a close. I will miss you all!
It’s amazing how much I’ve accomplished! I’ve done things I’ve never tried before and I’ve pushed myself to get things done.
Thank you so much. This has been a wonderful experience. Below is a photo of a collection of some of the things I’ve made this month. : )

Well, for my ‘thing’ today, it’s going to have to go to my search for a swap. I looked everywhere, for anything with the tazmanian devil on it, but found nothing. I even went to the next town over that has a shopping mall - and NOTHING! Now this took me quite longer than the 20min-1 hour; but that’s what Thing a Day is getting today! UGH!!!!!

Not too much today, but I did get to the post office to mail out two swaps. On a side note, the other day I attempted to make a stuffed Peep. Well, at the grocery store today, I saw that they now sell stuffed Peep bunnies and ducks. They look so much better than mine, so now I am sad. : (

I spent quite a bit of time organizing my junk/craft stuff. If I’m 10% of the way there, I’m doing good! I did do a quick furry fabric decoration on a new piggy bank, but trust me, it’s nothing worth taking a picture of! : P

Today I am attempting some indoor plantings. I haven’t had any luck in the past. Where I live, near the river, we have these terrible little gnats, Everytime I have tried growing something indoors, these buggers have just infested my plants. There’s no known way to get rid of them. (The City has tried many times to spray our town to kill them, but nothing has worked). Anyhow, being stubborn as I am, I am trying yet again, to grow some plants indoors. Here are my tomato plant and catnip plant:

The pic doesn’t show the color well, and my peep didn’t turn out as nice as the other one on thing-a-day (I forget who posted it), but I don’t know how to do felting. : ( Anyways, here it is:

I mailed out my ‘thing’ for my Naked Mail swap. I took it to the post office, not knowing if they would accept it. The postlady didn’t say anything, just weighed it and gave me a price. I then told her what I was doing, and she thought it was great! So, without wanting to give anything away (in case my swap partner is on thing a day), I’, posting a pic of the postlady. : )

A friend sent me this link: www.nps.gov/yell . They have a live cam where you can watch Old Faithful at Yellowstone. This evening I finally timed it right where I could watch her blow! It was really quite neat. The best part was there was someone there on site, and every once in awhile they would wave to the webcam; and I, being neighborly, waved back to the computer screen. : )

Got this done just in time! It took less than an hour. The hardest part was cutting out the pattern. Oh, and I picked up another cheap camera ($17), but it works MUCH better. I’ve never done any paper crafts like this before, so I’m rather proud of myself! : )

Today I picked up some more flowers to plant and coax spring out of hiding. Unfortunately, my $10 camera on a keychain (don’t buy one!), is horrible! So here is my attempt a picture of the flowers, and then one of my cat who immediately ate my flowers! LOL!

My husband’s birthday was actually the 14th, but he is only home on the weekends (right now Sat & Sun night), as he works out of state. So today, me and Becca are going to surprise him when he comes home tonight.
We’ve already got the mini meatloafs ready for the oven Becca had much fun smashing the saltines! Next we’re running to Lowe’s to pick up a gift card that we will wrap in a giant box. Desert will be a personal size cake, with two kinds of ice cream and peanut M&M’s. (All his Favorites). And since he likes to take baths, we’re going to set up the bathroom with candles and incense for him. Oh, and we’re going to go rent some of his favorite movies. : )

I found this box w/three drawers at BigLots, I wasn’t sure what was in it, but it was $3 and I just had to have the box. I decorated it by adding some ribbon, flowers and little bead things on the outside, and lined the bottom of the drawers with furry fabric. It took no time at all, and I’m very happy with the results!
Sorry I didn’t take a ‘before’ pic. I’ll try to remember for next time.

Today I had to go in for an MRI, and my daughter Becca, is mentally disabled (Angelman’s Syndrome) and LOVES doctor stuff. So when I was done with my test, I absconded with a cloth hospital gown! When Becca got home from school and I gave her her ‘present’, she was on cloud nine! She ran around in it all evening carrying one of her baby dolls - like she was a new mother at the hospital. It was so cute. I only wish I had a decent camera to take a picture. : )

I found it on instructables.com, and decided to make one. My first one goes to my husband.

Sorry about the picture quality, but it took 19 tries to get this, with my cheapo $10 camera.
Edit to correct: I found it on the makezine site. Here’s the link: http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2007/12/make_a_sympathy_doll_week_1.html?CMP=OTC-0D6B48984890 and here’s a youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIa25S_WnQ0
