I decided to get some stuff done around the house today, so I made picture frames. I took frames I already had that were plain, and covered them with Japanese paper. 

Polaroid transfer of a butterfly photo I took in Costa Rica. It’s a little light, but the transfers weren’t working how I wanted them to tonight. (They’re usually not very predictable.) But I like how it captures the fleeting nature of the butterfly — here but not for long.  

I just started working in encaustic paint. I love it, but I’m still figuring it out. This is a dreamscape, flowers coming through fog.  

A thing a day? Really? Hopefully I can keep it up for a month. But if I start posting how my thing that day was “I tied my shoes this morning, here’s a photo of my feet”, know that I’m completely uninspired. I have a few ideas, though, so I’m not completely unprepared. Plus I’m a bit of a dilletante, so I have quite a few tricks up my sleeve…
