Bearskin rug, no hunting required. I’m not completely finished with the outline, but will probably be able to finish tomorrow.
This concludes my thing-a-day contributions. Oh, I’ll still be making things, it’s just that I have to trek down to Gettysburg, PA tomorrow to help my grandmother move from her old farmhouse and will not be on the internet. Thanks everyone - it’s been good. Enjoy the final stretch!

My cat Delilah has her own basket by the woodstove, the lucky little cranker. However, her pillow, as you can see in the “before” picture, was slightly disgusting with matted fur that is very difficult to get off. Until today! Behold - a pillow cover that I can now remove and throw in the wash. (Fortunately, this change was accepted with only a minimal amount of complaining.)

I knit this chevron lace panel today with the intention of wet felting it onto a rug. I find that the lace pattern is kind of hard to make out since I used handspun yarn…but that may just add some complexity to the final product, we’ll see!

I bought myself some paint and brushes over the weekend, and this is my first painting! I’m not sure that it’s finished, but the design was inspired by the pretty fabric that I’ve been using (see days 1 and 11!)

The rovings from day 17? Here they are in their new and improved form.
4

Hand-dyed these rovings today. The wool is superwash (meaning it won’t felt), so these firey colours are destined to be spun into a skein of yarn.

I’m working on my drawing skillZ, so here is a speedy sketch of Kat playing the new guitar she got for her birthday.

A little personalization of the latte moments. I’ve been meaning to make one of these buggers for a while - and there are a lot of cute tutorials out there on the net, so you should too!

Embroidered quilt square # 3 and counting…

Ghosts escaping the from the corral or a wonky game of tic-tac-toe?

I probably should have brought in this table before the snow….but it makes for a pretty picture - and a good snow-level gauge!

Cute little bag for out on the town!

I love this flaming skulls fabric and finally decided what to do with it!

It became apparent that my ratty old mittens just weren’t going to finish off the season without leaving my fingers frostbitten, so I had to whip up these babies, pronto (pronto=only took a week). Super-soft chocolate brown alpaca wool, and for the thrum part, some leftover rovings that I dyed on Day 2! I am so ready for a snowball fight.

This is a wool rug that I wet-felted a while back, but today I finished it off with some zig-zag action on the twister. Does it look more like a tornado or a hurricane?

I bought this awesome stenciled heart patch from flederhaus.etsy.com, then did some free-motion embroidery over the top of it with my sewing machine. I love how the stitches look like a totally wigged-out EKG. This patch is destined for the heart spot of a navy blue hoodie (when I can find one - my town is currently having a shortage, apparently).

This is a gift for my mom’s birthday - a lovely blue mohair ruffle scarf. I admit that it took me more than an hour, but now it’s finished!

Inspired by this tutorial for knitting a jar of olives, http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/knitted_olive, I decided to knit up a pair to put on a toothpick for my sweetheart (an olive fiend) for Valentine’s day. I’m going to put the “Olive You” on a thin red tag at the top of the toothpick.
