In few words: For work I'm an illustrator and animator- when I come home I make crafts and music. I play drums, bass, and guitar. I like crocheting and painting and making things to make my apartment look cooler.
I bought this yellow frame from the ikea bargin corner for 3 dollars- got it home and realized, oh! Ikea has crazy sizes for everything- so no poster you can buy outside of Ikea will actually fit in it. Tonight I decided to fill it with a fast painting. I gave myself half an hour (turned into an hour). I Just wanted to make sure that I did something in between video gaming and apartment hunting.
I spent a very long time cleaning my apartment today. I’m talking more than 5 hours straight. But I still managed to make a little patch for a bag I made a while ago which I’m fixing (the strap broke, need to pull the sewing machine out and redo it). I’m happy I still managed to make something!
Today I got a psp, so I made a little sleeping bag for it. I lined the inside with fleece so that it wouldn’t get scratched up in my bag.
I couldnt log in the day before yesterday for some reason, and didnt have time eysterday- but i did take pictures of what I’d done those days! The first are a bunch of valentinesday pins I made for my friends at work. The second is the dinner I made for valentines dinner (filet mignon in a red wine/balsamic vinegar glaze, with garlic green beans, and popovers). I hope everyone else had a nice night.

I like drawing monsters. These are my sketch book doodles from today. They’re sketches for another picture I’m making.
I made this doodle at work today for one of our projects (I work at an animation studio). I was thinking when I did it how lucky I was to get to draw aliens, since that was one of those things they teach you in art school that’s its so overdone and cliche to not do it. Take that art school!
I found a nice jacket at a thrift store and decided to put elbow patches and new buttons on it. I had some really cute leftover clothe from kitchen curtains I made- so that worked out well.
I bought one of these fancy schmancy ikea hanging lights in the clearance section- it was 4 dollars! So I found this fantastic fabric from reprodepot.com (highly suggest it if you love clothe!)- and lined the bottom of the light with it. It seemed like a perfect hanging light for my art corner of the living room 
Thing a day is very much inspiring me to get to the projects I’ve been meaning to start!
I’ve been helping a new friend make multimedia art for her nonprofit (www.thecoloredpencilproject.org). It’s a fantastic idea she had to bring art supplies to kids who otherwise wouldn’t have them. I made this for her today, so she could send it to friends with an emailed invite to a party to collect colored pencils. I hope the swf plays right…
Howdy, This is my first day’s project- the first 3 pages of a book I am making for a rock opera project my boyfriend and I’s band is working on. It’s about a little girl who wants to be a rock star and the trials and tribulations she runs into along the way.
