Today for my thing-a-day, I am WAY too tired to make something. So here is a limerick that I stole off of Limerick DB for you to enjoy:
A preoccupied vegan named Hugh
picked up the wrong sandwich to chew.
He took a big bite
before spitting, in fright,
“OMG, WTF, BBQ!”
My mom’s birthday is tomorrow, so I created these two little flash things that draw out the words “Happy Birthday Mom” with particles. For more information, go here.
Sadly today I’ve been forced to cheat. I made this thing a while ago, but it’s the end of the day and I don’t have time to make anything new, so it will have to do. Enjoy making songs with my song maker.
Instead of my usual computery experiments that I’ve produced for thing-a-day, I’ve decided to share something a little different. A very short guitar instrumental that I recored today:

I recently created a word counter. My ultimate goal is to somehow visualize the frequency of words in books/speeches, but right now it’s a work in progress. You can play around with it here: Word Counter.

I’m a little disappointed with this one, but I spent a lot of time on it so I figure I’d post it. Sorry for the lame thing… it happens.
An experiment with interaction between low mass “particles” and high mass “planets”. Have fun!
Pretty simple this time. Have fun with the pretty patterns! This one is done in Processing rather than Flash.
Grab a friend and face off with them in an epic space battle! Avoid hitting planets, and use them to your advantage. Enjoy everyone!
Click to create bursts of particles! They leave little lines behind, it’s quite interesting. The longer you hold down the click, the more particles you will create, and the more “energy” they will have. Happy particle making!

Move your mouse around to create scribbles! Click to make the “scribbler” closer to your mouse if it gets too big and out of control.

Move your mouse around the screen and watch the lines swirl around you! Click to clear old lines. If it runs slowly after a while, clearing the old lines should speed it up again. Enjoy!
