But I have been working!
Friday my 8 year old daughter and I made polymer clay beads and baked them, then made jewelry. Her beads came out WAY better than mine and I’m currently wearing a bracelet she made me.
Saturday, we did our cookie booth and sold 30 more boxes for her Girl Scout Troop!
Sunday, I made it a point to carve out some special time with my husband. We snuggles on the couch, ate sushi, and watched the LOST episodes we have missed this season. We really, really needed that.
Yesterday, my daughter and I delivered all the cookies ordered in the neighborhood. It was a feat. I stacked all the boxes in the stroller and strapped the baby to me in the Snugli. We walked probably three miles that way. It was an undertaking, to say the least, lol. I was overly ambitious…but we did get them delivered to all but three houses!
And today I made this as a promo for my shop:

I made these today…
And yesterday, I made this:

I’ve been making bunches! I have some really cool single beads though that are coming out great as rings. I’m excited about an order I’ve got in with a glass artist who does amazing work…can’t wait to get those beads!!
This one is for sale in my Etsy shop by the same name.

I saw these little stones at the bead shop yesterday and just had to have them. The colors are amazing!
If this set sells, I’m making one for myself, lol.

Would you believe it…the baby has taken a decently long nap today. I was able to make two things and now I’m eating my lunch in peace!
Can we do this every day, baby?

But not because I’ve been lazy, I swear!
A friend of mine has a very sick little boy who is in the hospital. I have been working on making him a cuddly blanket. I have nearly zero experience sewing, so it has taken me a long time. Also, it’s not exactly…um…square, lol. But I put a lot of love into it and I hope it makes him and his family feel better, even if it’s just a little bit.

This one is better than my other one varnish-wise, but I don’t like the design as much. I should have made the river (yes, that’s a river, lol) with darker fabric.

I made this today…

I also wrote a tutorial on my brand new blog, so if you want to make your own rings, read up there… http://caseyacrossthepond.blogspot.com
This one’s not for sale because it’s not as perfect as I’d like it to be, but I’m putting more up in my shop soon!

I should probably save this for tomorrow in case I don’t get to make anything, lol.
I started a craft blog. Only one post so far, an intro post, but you get the idea.
I think tomorrow I’ll do a tutorial on how to make wire-wrapped rings.

I tried this out today and thought it came out cute. The varnish came out gloppy around the raised parts, like the tree trunk, so I need to work on that when I make more. I love it though…very whimsical.

ALL.
DAY.
LONG.
Sigh. Maybe tomorrow my happy boy will return!

I spent the morning stressing out about what I was going to do for Day 2. My husband and kids were home, my daughter’s friends had slept over, and my mom and sister were driving into town for the evening. I just didn’t know when I was going to make the thing I planned on making.
It was when my daughter asked me to bring down blankets for her and her friend to make a fort that I realized what I could make for the day…I could make memories with my family.
Cool fort/funny squealing baby/change baby’s outfit four times/3 mile walk/finding long-lost pen/Girl Scout cookies/a sky so blue you wouldn’t believe it/RV trip??/plans for London/Snugli baby/Mexican restaurant/peek-a-boo/queso straw/baby loves dots/Stressed Eric/James and the Giant Peach/did you brush your teeth?/lovez youz
So that’s what I made today. A bunch of memories with my family.

Today I made this ring. I think it came out gorgeous, and I’m so happy I pushed myself to do this today. Now I’m all revved up for the rest of the month!
