Late night after a day of high adventure. There’s nothing like a good date after a day of crazy in a field.

my tribute to Arthur C. Clarke, who just left the party. He was one of the true Grandmasters of science fiction, and a credit to the species.embedded by Embedded Video
Saying goodbye to my little friend. I got sacked from my nanny job. (Mary Poppins voice - “I am NEVER sacked!”) But yeah I was laid off. Anybody need a Faerie? I’m going to miss him.

A surprise party for my friend James Madison. It’s not really her birthday - it’s the eponymous president’s birthday… you can almost never really surprise someone on their own birthday. This party was called “Thanks, I got it from James!” because she is an amazing seamstress and a talented coolthing finder and over the years she has given everyone in our community so much awesome clothes that it’s gotten to be a tagline. So the party was just to acknowledge, celebrate and give back. The present was 1000 little taggys that say “Thanks, I got it from James!” that she can sew into stuff that she makes or gives away. Yay James! Yay my beautiful friends! Yay subscribers! Yay whoever posts a video response of a surprise going off!

We act out a youtube puppet video that the kids found. I was explaining how tubers sometimes make altered parodied or referential videos and they wanted to play that game, too! I know I know - I’m a horrible influence. I will post this as a video response to the original for reference.embedded by Embedded Video
She bravely does her first internet stunt. It took me YEARS to stop being afraid to look silly to the world. Go her. It’s a baptism in frosting.
