thing 27: awful horsehair bow
Today my ebay order of mongolian horse hair arrived! So I made a fancy horsehair bow. It’s an awful bow, of course, and I have no idea how to use a bow anyway, but what the heck: here’s what it sounds like on the rotten stick tension guitar and the rotten stick electric guitar.
(I got to spend some time combing horse hair. Instrument making has more in common with My Little Pony than I knew!)

i like how it sounds on “rotten stick electric guitar” better, but both sounds are lively in a different ways and totally usable. success again!
Is there ANYTHING that is not available on ebay? Enjoyed.
Try getting some rosin if you haven’t already. It gives the bow the stickiness that pulls on the string. Or you could experiment with other slightly sticky things that wouldn’t gum up on the strings (fruit juice?)
I can’t wait for the day when I can finally buy a Ranjit (TM) brand bow! I’m sorry to hear it disintegrated
