Day 19: I want to drop kick my computer
I wanted to make dinosaur buttons today. I thought it would be a good exercise to learn illustrator. You know something small. I HATE ILLUSTRATOR. I got the lines done, wanted to blow up my computer, then gave up and switched to photoshop. 2.5 hours later the lamest unfinished button ever! Anyone know any good tutorials for illustrator?

This doesn’t look like the work of somebody frustrated with Illustrator at all. Very skillfully done, very clean, and very cute!
The thing to lick in Illustrator is the pen tool, which just takes practice. The pathfinder is also your fun-shapes cartooning friend.
ditto and ditto what ryanayana said. The learning curve for working with bezier curves is steep a first, but you’ll get the hang of it in no time. Your dino looks awesome!

i agree with what everyone said, it looks great! i had wanted to learn illustrator this month too, but i have a feeling 1. i might not get around to it and/or 2. my stuff will be much simpler! nice job. i like all your buttons too… very cute!
