Bought new water color pencils today, goofed around scribbling this while watching the will i am you tube video. Even though I haven’t decided who I’m voting for yet, something about this video/ Obama’s speech gives me goosebumps.

Uuu okay so I was going to go to open drawing this morning, but — I got to bed very late. I woke up too late to bother going. Fortunately, my roommate happens to be a professional figure model, so I made her hold still while she watched Penn and Teller’s Bullshit, and I drew her legs.
That’s all there is to it!

Today I finished another piece in my circle series. The others are in my etsy shop.

Today my only creative output was adding a new guest to the Stellarcon website, including editing the picture to fit on the site.

What a great word. I’m not sure why I started putting deliberate captions in my images, but I guess this one is all titles. Still, “electrific” is an awesome word.

I got to stitch WHILE gaming tonight! I wrote for a while earlier today, too.

So, lately I have been playing a lot of Scrabulous which has been great because it has allowed me to reconnect with old friends; bad because I don’t get anything done. Today I started designing a board game that uses Scrabble letters for my nephew who is 4. Hopefully, the game will help him learn letters and words at the same time, so that when he turns five, we can play Scrabble together.

I finally understand the hype about duck eggs, and why so many people like using them for making pysanky. The surface of a duck egg is remarkably smooth compared to a grocery-store chicken egg. And that makes it much easier to make smooth straight lines with the kistka. I began dying and waxing my first large duck egg today. The design (so far) is more geometric than anything I’ve done previously. I used the egg lathe with a watercolor pencil to make even divisions on the egg. Tomorrow I hope to finish this egg and will post the result.

This is a view of Swami’s where the staircase leads down to the beach.
Did I mention that these paintings are pretty small? So far, 4×6 or 5×7

I live in Cupertino, California - a relatively small city in the Bay Area about an hour away from San Francisco. Nothing very exciting happens here, but it is nice anyway.

Sight drawing of this. Despite the facial distortion (i.e. the head and eyes are way too big) I really like how it came out.

P.S. That’s a peach in the corner, not an apple. I usually color it in, which makes it easier to tell.

This came with an embroidery iron-on/craft kit I purchased, and I thought I was so awesome that I didn’t need the silly little practice provided therein. Man, was I ever wrong. As is, I think it came out cute.
