My Trip To Get a Haircut
For February 7th, I created a trip to go get a haircut. Here’s some sketches I did along the way:

nice series! /hope, haircut didn’t hurt either/
ok, so 5 for 5 man, I really enjoy your work. The subway sketches especially.
These are so, so great.
These are great!
Are you working with watercolor on the train?!
These works are really amazing - You’ve captured the mood of the train so well - feel’s like I’m there!
Jason, just gorgeous work, thank you for sharing these.
Here’s a haircut series back at cha: http://butwait.blogspot.com/2008/01/getting-ready-for-new-year.html
they’re all really fantastic!
Wow!
I’d love to be able to documentary style.
Please tell me about your methods. What materials did you use to create these images? Did you color them right there on the train or do you just have a brilliant memory for colors?
Thank you all!
Irena, the haircut is pretty good I think. It always takes me a few days to be totally sure, though.
Alexis, 5 meaning 7?
Shari–I have sometimes watercolored on the train (with a waterbrush, it’s quite doable) but these I colored at home after the fact.
Butwait– that’s a lot shorter than mine!
Steph– I drew the first one with the small edges of a Sakura Pigma Liner 3, and the others mostly with a Sakura Pigma liner 1. The fine details (like the hair and zippers) were a Sakura Micron 05. As noted above, I colored these after the fact. I guess I’ve got a good combination of brilliant memory and blatant disregard for accuracy of colors.
BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL etc
