Day 6: Mood board for a room
I’ve been thinking about painting a room in my house, and I seem to be very attracted to the color orange for this room. I created a collage of things in nature that inspired the orange theme and added some furniture, floor and paint swatches to see how it all might look together. Hmmm…now I’m not sure about the orange.

Two opinions here, since we’re logged into one computer:
Jason-Bug: Go with Monarch Color!
Ed: I don’t think you went orange ENOUGH. Picture a perfect Mikan Orange against the deep blue sea of the southern Japanese island of Kyushu. That’s the kind of orange I’m talking about.
Both of us: Keep going!
Maybe you can try just a smaller accent wall in orange and the rest in a neutral color so the orange doesn’t overpower the other elements of the room. Decorators use this trick all the time. And remember to balance elements with strong colors (like the red chair) throughout the room, instead of clumping them all together on one side.
Nice mood board, very clean and modern feeling!
I almost went with orange in my bedroom, and then ended up at the same place as you. I thought I really liked it, but there really is too much of a good thing.
Which room?
