Weird Nebraska, day 5
Adam the goose was born outside Lincoln, NE. He was a perfectly ordinary goose — other than the fact that he was born without feet. His owner made him a pair of special shoes so that Adam could walk, and as a result, Adam appeared on talk shows all over the airwaves in the late 1980’s, including a notable appearance where he charmed the pants offa Jay Leno.
Sadly, Adam ran afowl (sorry, had to…) of some shady characters, it seems. He was kidnapped in 1989, and despite the ten thousand dollar reward his fans were offering, Adam’s body was found with his little shoes still affixed to his little, nonexistent feet.
Oh, but seriously.
