Frog Gift Card Holder

Ok, so today I stepped it up a notch and used a blanket stitch! I did it by watching this tutorial someone posted on youtube and it really made the whole thing very easy. I tried to do a french stitch for his eyes, but that was a lot harder than I anticipated. Makes him look a little goofy, but eh. Anyone got any advice on doing a french stitch, I’m all ears.

Who wouldn’t love to receive a gift card in that!? Adorable!
French knot: after you’ve wrapped the thread two or three times around the needle, hold your thread really taut, don’t let go until you’ve pulled the needle all the way through to the back, and have almost used up all the thread that’s left (does that make any sense?). *Then* let go, and you should have a nice, tight knot. Keep trying, French knots are fun! And your little froggy is adorable…
That’s awesome! Never thought of a fancy/cute giftcard holder… Mind you, I can’t sew, but seems like a good small project to try. Love the frog!
