Day 5
Well, it finally seems evident (to me, at least) that my overall Thing-A-Day submissions are going to be a photo-journal of my life in the wonderful world of entertainment.
Today, I present to you backstage photos of me with all the puppets I manipulate in Finding Nemo: The Musical, the show I do at DisneyWorld. These were taken during our 3:15 and 4:45 shows this afternoon.
I start the show manipulating the “squid sock” for the opening number:

Then it’s a quick change into the villain of the piece - Bruce:

Get out of Bruce’s costume and slip on a couple of moonfish (of which I am their leader):

Then get ready of Crush’s big number. Truth be told, I manipulate his butt and back fins, but that wouldn’t have made a terribly good photo. Suffice it to say that, given how large his head is, you can imagine the size of the entire turtle!

Strap on a swordfish (whom I’ve named Algernon) for a quick little fight scene:

Then grab a section of groupers stuck in a net:

After that, it’s back to the squid for the finale, and back to Bruce for the curtain call. Voila!
Awesome! I must say, you do a great job! My husband and I are definite attenders when we head to WDW every year. How cool!
WOW, THAT is the best job ever!
I didn’t realize you had a hand up so many puppets during the show. Bravo!
thanks for the show, i almost saw it!
