lemon party

So it is finally the birthday day.. and to celebrate I made a sad little banner..

put together what was described as a strange lemon- rosemary bouquet from the garden (not a lot is blooming out there right now)

A sort of lemon-parsley bruschetta as an appetizer

and some pan roasted cornish game hens with fried pancetta (it was supposed to be prosciutto, but I always manage to confuse the two) and more rosemary and lemon from the garden with gravy and roasted root vegetables to go along..

The interconnecting theme of the night was me trying to utilize the fuck-ton of lemons and rosemary I found in our back yard.  I have a lemon-cakey confection in the works for the post birthday breakfast as well.
