Thing-a-Day 4: Wine Charms

I made these wine charms (you know, for identifying your wine glass at a party) outta Shrinky-dink material and wire loops.

  • Cool - what do you do, heat them and then quickly twist them around the loops before they cool?

  • @Gnork: It took me a bit to get the technique right. I would heat them, then wrap around a toothpick. I ended up having to do one at a time since they cool so fast! A heat gun would probably help.

    @tooaquarius: thanks! I saw the idea for croissant beads somewhere else, I don’t recall where…
