Day 4: Friendship bracelet
Talking to my friend the other night, I was reminded of friendship bracelets. I hadn’t made one for at least half a lifetime, but I had some left-over embroidery silks hanging around from a completed project, and thought I’d give it a go. Unfortunately, it took me over an hour to do, mostly because I had a false start or two, but - eventually - I managed to get it finished. It’s not very good, and twisted up horribly (any ideas about how to stop it doing that?). Oh well, hopefully future attempts will be better!
Here’s me starting the bracelet, blocking it (in a futile attempt to rectify the twist) and wearing it, right to left. (Can’t get a handle on this damn wordpress uploader thing!)

Mine twist too, and I’ve been making them for years…keeping the edge knots loose helps, and if you make all the knots fairly loose it’ll stripe on a slight diagonal rather than straight across, but hardly twist at all.
