ZWEI
thing-a-day no. 2:

These two dudes I know are hosting a comedy event in March with the Kearny Street Workshop, and they asked me to draw the flyer image, sans text. The show title is Parlor Room: An Evening of Comedy; I think I kind of misunderstood what they wanted, and I drew these two dullards. yawn
(If’n yer curious, I drew this with a plain ol’ mechanical pencil on plain ol’ sketchbook paper, then I inked it with a 0.05mm Staedler pigment liner pen. After scanning the image at 600dpi, I colored it in Foto-shoppe)
verrrry nice!
These guys are very masculine. Nice attention to the period costumes.
haha I did it for you, Calvin. NEVER AGAIN!
I think it’s FABulous.
this is so good
No way dude, I think you captured the theme just right.
It screams HABBERDASHERY, PARLOUR GAMES, SITTING ROOMS and COMEDY.
On top a surprisingly accurate depiction of white people(!) you got the poses and coloring to work super well. The elbow on the study room globe seals the deal for me.
oh I really like this one; there’s an element of edward gorey brouhaha going on w/ your usual style (ie your angle, somewhat odd poses… etc)
I really love this. Especially the way the one guy’s cigar smoke is going in front of his eye :C It’s excellent.
As always, you impress me. Love the colors…..mixing pink with the masculine images, great contrast! The detailed vest and muffler is a nice touch.
Nice, nice, just like always from you!
