I know I missed February 1st by three hours, but FUCK IT! Here’s thing-a-day no. 1:
I used duct tape and masking tape and cardboard and super glue and a dismantled motorcycle helmet. There is a hidden detachable front flap beneath the beak so that I can see out of the head while riding a bike. I made this for a super secret video project with my friends, the Invisible Cities, one of whom is fellow thing-a-day poster scontini. You like my avian myspace pose?

Wow. That is a very nice use of duct tape. I love the detailing of all those little feathers.
Oh man, that’s so cool. It reminds me of the penguin costume I had in 4th grade. I hope you wear it a lot!

WHOA DUDE. I want to be a part of whatever Mad Max-meets-Where The Wild Thing Are motorcycle gang exploits this helmet is used for.
I am especially loving the the heart-shaped crown thingy (is there a name for that part of a bird?) and the flapsXfeathered effect.

This thing is super-awesome and I’m not just saying that because I want you to post it on Instructables.com, but because it is super-awesome. Although, if you wanted to post it, I wouldn’t object. Did I mention it was super-awesome? That’s both the coolest duct tape thing and giant birds head I have ever seen in my whole life and even should it ever be topped, I would venture to guess it would remain amongst the top three in both categories (forth place at very worst).
