Bakasana Super Star - Thing a day 1
For the first day of Thing-a-Day I decided to work with two mediums that I have been trying to master. First off I have been doing yoga for about three months and I am so ready to do this pose– Bakasana Pose (Crane). It is a balancing pose where you are using your arm strength and balance to come into this pose. Goodness, it is so fun to just try. I used illustrator to make this drawing, also something I have been trying to master. If you have any tips on either of these please feel free to share!xoxoBeccaa

Cute image! It looks like you are off to a great start learning Illustrator. It is tough at first, but once you get a feel for the tools, you can do great things.
I just started practicing yoga this past summer, and I’ve only recently been able to stay in this pose for any length of time. One tip — if you place a block on the floor in front of you, it will keep you from smacking your forehead if you fall forward (like I did).

I was really enjoying trying yoga a while back, but remember reading an article about how one could not live the yogi lifestyle and smoke, it was just contradictory. Instead of giving up smoking, I gave up yoga.
I’ve been cigarette-free for over two months now. You just inspired me to try yoga again!
i love the way the squiggle conveys the yoga form but looks elegant too. i used to practice but haven’t in a while. i was sometimes able to do crane by approaching the pose, pushing to my toes, lifting one foot, and then another… if that makes sense… i also want to learn illustrator too and was thinking of trying something this month… good luck w/ both!
