Yesterday, I gave myslf fifteen minutes to read the children’s book titled “Stone Soup.” It turned out to be a great experience!!! Today, I would like to share. That is my “thing-a-day”. In short, there were three monks wandering through cloud-embraced mountains, looking for an answer to a question we all would like to know - what makes one happy? They found a village that had been through many hard times, and people of that village became suspicious and untrusting. They all worked had but only for themselves and had little to do with one another. (Does it sound familiar?) Monks decided to visit that village but when they arrived, no one greeted them. On the contrary, people closed their doors and windows. “These people do not know happiness,” they all agreed. “but today,” said oldest monk,”we will show them how to make stone soup.” I will not give away the rest of the story. Sorry.
P.S. Once each person opened their heart to give, the next person gave more and everyone was happy once again.
